The Civic Youth Theatre will present a fresh and comical adaptation of a Shakespearean classic: The Seussification of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Written by Peter Bloedel, with all the beloved characters of the classic included, this Seussified version will enchant you as you frolic through a forest filled with fairies, whoosh bush tush beasts, and bumballoon swords! Wacky and wild, release your inner child!

This production is performed in one act without an intermission.
Theme Performance – Seuss Meets Shakespeare: Calling all Dr. Seuss and Shakespeare lovers to come to Seussification of A Midsummer Night’s Dream where everyone will receive a treat on Saturday, April 26, 2025. You are welcome to come dressed in your favorite Seuss or Shakespeare costume. Please no masks that cover your face, toy weapons and any large head pieces will need to be removed during the performance.

All performances in the Parish Theatre are general seating. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each performance.
Parking
Parking is located behind the Carver Center and street parking is available for free after 5:00 PM on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday.
The Kalamazoo Civic Theatre does not rate subject matter as sensitivities vary from person to person. If you have questions about content, age appropriateness, or other aspects of the show (ie strobe lights and other theatrical effects), please contact the box office at 269.343.1313.
