Over the River and Through the Woods

January 11, 2002 — January 26, 2002

Civic Auditorium

Nicky Christano is a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey, whose parents have moved to Florida. But that doesn’t mean that all of his family has left Jersey. In fact, he spends every Sunday with both sets of grandparents. These weekly visits are governed by the three F’s — family, faith and food. Naturally, the news doesn’t sit too well when Nick tells his doting grandparents that he has been offered the job of a lifetime, a job that will take him to Seattle. “How could he leave his family’s love and 15 pound lasagnas? ” they wonder. Thus begins a series of schemes designed to keep Nick from leaving home (including introducing him to a potential girlfriend). You don’t have to be a fan of ravioli or rigatoni to enjoy the universal themes found in this funny, heartwarming play. So, call your grandparents, order your tickets, and share a wonderful experience in the theatre.
