You’re doin’ fine, Oklahoma! This joyous celebration of the American spirit bursts onto the Civic Mainstage and fills the Western skies with soaring melodies. Set in Indian territory just after the turn of the last century, the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. Meanwhile, the romantic hijinks of Ado Annie, and double-dealing shenanigans of the peddler Ali Hakim are sure to provide plenty of laughs. The memorable score includes Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’, The Surrey with the Fringe on Top, and I Cain’t Say No. You won’t want to miss any of the excitement, beauty or charm that have made Oklahoma! a time honored classic.
