George Gershwin lives! We are very pleased to present, in collaboration with the 2004 Gilmore Keyboard Festival, the sensational Broadway production of George Gershwin Alone. Direct from his record-breaking appearances in Los Angeles, Florida, Boston, Washington DC and Broadway, internationally recognized actor, playwright and concert pianist Hershey Felder will once again embody the spirit and talent of the legendary composer and pianist, George Gershwin. In this ‘imagination’ with music Mr. Felder recreates the character of George Gershwin as well as his fascinating rhythms and tragically short life. In between the romantic ballads The Man I Love, Someone to Watch Over Me, bits of An American in Paris and Porgy and Bess the incomparable Felder brings to life Gershwin’s childhood, his parents and his siblings Ira, Arthur and Frances.
