CIVIC YOUTH THEATRE MUSICAL
Meet Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time will soon run out – and if the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity! Based on the original Broadway production, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a wonderful adaptation of the well-loved story of transformation and tolerance.
The Civic Youth Theatre is designed to introduce young patrons to theatre as an art form. Students involved in a production learn very quickly that it takes a lot of hard work to put on a show. They memorize lines, paint scenery and collect props, all while they are building friendships and developing self-confidence that will last them a lifetime.
