Russ is the Director of Athletics and Student Relations at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He holds a PhD in Public Administration from Western Michigan University. He has had a passion and respect for performing on stage from a young age with his first production being Kurt in the sound of music at the age of 11 in his hometown of Bridgman, MI, and has performed in many other productions throughout the years, including community theater work with the Twin City Players inSt. Joseph, MI and the Civic Theatre here in Kalamazoo. Russ resides in Kalamazoo with his wife, Robin, and son, Carson.
