Dr. Michael Scorzo is the Director of Education and Outreach.  Mike brings with him a wealth of experience in education and administration.  He holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, a M.S. Ed. in Instructional Design and Educational Administration, and a B.S. Ed. in Science Education with a minor in Music.  He enjoyed a lengthy career teaching in the classroom, and then moving on to administrative roles, such as Principal, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, and Associate Provost for Curriculum and Assessment. Mike’s theatre background is as robust as his education background, going back almost 40 years! With some of his favorite roles being Juan Peron (Evita), Caiaphas (Jesus Christ Superstar), Nathan Detroit (Guys & Dolls), and Lt. Frank Cioffi (Curtains) where he met his wife.  Mike is passionate about mentoring educators and educating students of all ages, abilities, and background and is committed to community outreach, the mission of the Civic, and our DEI initiatives.
