Ben’s career in sales, management, marketing and development encompasses both the profit and non-profit sectors. During his 19-year tenure at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, he served as our director of Marketing and Development. Ben retired from the Civic staff in 2021, after leading the organization as our Interim Executive Director. In addition to working as a consultant for theatres around the state, with a focus on marketing and business development, Ben also sat on the Community Theatre Association of Michigan Board of Directors from 2016 to 2020. Not just an accomplished theatre administrator, Ben is also a multi-award-winning actor and director with 130 productions to his credit. In recognition of his many accomplishments, Ben has been presented with the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo’s Community Medal of Arts Award, and the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre’s Larkin H. Noble Award.
