Resident Teaching Artist

Sara is thrilled to join the Civic staff as Resident Teaching Artist! Sara has taught for various early childhood and performing arts programs throughout both Kalamazoo and Chicago since 2012. Sara is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Bachelor of Theatre Arts (BTA) program and is a dance instructor at Excel Dance Centre, where she also serves as Early Childhood Director. Sara has enjoyed volunteering at the Civic for years, appearing in productions like Smokey Joe’s Café, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and The 1940s Radio Hour. CivicChoreography credits include: The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Rainbow FishMusical, and Disney’s Newsies
