A Broadway hit, this masterfully constructed thriller moves from one moment of suspense to another as it builds toward an electrifying, heart-pounding final scene. Susy Hendrix, a blind Greenwich Village housewife is thrown into a world of chaos and danger when her husband unknowingly transports a doll filled with heroin across the Canadian border. As three murderous drug smugglers search for the doll, they manipulate Susy into believing that her spouse has been implicated in the crime and that only she, by surrendering the doll, can protect him. A grisly discovery in a locked closet moves the fear-o-meter needle to skin-prickling suspense. And the scares just keep on coming.
