This feline phenomenon is the longest running musical in the history of Broadway. Once a year, Jellicle cats from around the city come together in celebration of the Jellicle Ball. As evening turns to daybreak, their leader, Old Deuteronomy, will announce the name of the cat that will be reborn to a new life in the Heavyside Layer. Among the candidates are the aging theater cat, Gus; the rocker, Rum Tum Tugger; and the once-glamorous Grizabella, now but a faded memory of her former self. Boasting a score that includes Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats, Mr. Mistoffelees and Memory, this compelling fable takes audiences to a fantastical world that can only exist in the theatre.
