Snow Removal

Position Summary

As winter approaches, the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre is seeking an enthusiastic, self- motivated, reliable individual to assist with snow removal operations on an on-call basis. A successful candidate will be task oriented, and possess the ability to work independently and unsupervised. Must be willing to be on call, with a flexible schedule and reliable transportation.

Essential Functions:

• Under the supervision of the Facilities and Technical Director, the primary responsibility will be snow removal from sidewalks and parking lots, as needed.o This may include the use of shovels, snow blowers and other equipment
  • o Apply ice melt as needed
    o Ensure all areas are safely cleared in a timely manner
    o Communicate effectively with supervisor and other employees

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

• Must have the ability to work unsupervised and stay on task, while responding to unexpected needs
• Must have reliable transportation that can operate in the snow
• Must have reliable phone and be willing to be on-call 24/7

Physical Requirements:

• The physical ability to lift heavy snow, operate snow removal equipment and travel between the various Civic building locations is required.
