MUSICAL

“We are what we are, and what we are is an illusion.” And so it is at La Cage Aux Folles – the pride of St. Tropez, the jewel of the Riviera. If you’ve seen the movie The Birdcage, you know the basic plot of this highly entertaining, Tony Award-winning show. The twenty years of domestic tranquility enjoyed by Albin and George are turned upside-down when George’s son from a youthful affair falls in love with the daughter of a right-wing crusader. When the boy brings his fiancee and her family home to meet “the folks”, the future in-laws are in for a ride they’ll never forget. With a sparkling score by Jerry Herman (Hello, Dolly! and Mame), La Cage is one show-stopping production number after another.
