Desiree LaDuke

Business Manager

Desiree is thrilled to join the team at the Civic as their Business Manager. After receiving her degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Michigan-Flint, she began her career as an educator, teaching preschool, Kindergarten and first grade. From there she moved into public service as an elected official, where she served her community as the Clerk for 4 years. She has a passion for volunteerism, leading and serving on many different Boards including Little League, PTO, the KAMSC Parent Organization, and the Gull Lake Fine Arts Foundation, just to name a few. She currently sits on the Gull Lake Community Schools Board of Education as their Vice-President. Desiree has enjoyed watching her daughters participate in Civic Theatre (and other local theatre) classes and productions. With her daughters in college, Desiree has been contemplating a return to the stage after many years absence. When not working or supporting her daughters’ many endeavors you can find Desiree with a book in hand surrounded by the family’s 5 rescue pets; taking pictures of birds and various nature; golfing – badly; or traveling with her husband.
