The Kalamazoo Civic Theatre seeks a highly motivated self-starter with good communication skills to join our custodial team in a part-time capacity. Position has variable hours that average 20 hours a week. In addition to performing daily cleaning tasks, this position also assists in the identification and performance of repairs and maintenance of the building and grounds. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb and work from a ladder and work from a kneeling position. High school diploma or GED required. Teaching Artists, Assistants and Guest Artists (Directors, Music Director, Choreographer) for Academy Classes and Spring Break Day Camps
We’re looking for qualified, motivated educators to serve as Teaching Artists, Assistants and Guest Artists for our 2013-2014 Academy of Theatre Arts . Our freelance staff members are talented, experienced and positive people who enjoy working with students of all ages.
Our school-year Academy of Theatre Arts is comprised of performance-based classes in acting, singing, creative movement, improvisation and dance as well as classes focusing on the technical elements of theatre. We also offer two Spring Break Day Camps focusing on musical theatre for grades K-9th. Classes typically meet once a week for five weeks. Qualified teaching artist and guest artist applicants should have, or be close to completing a degree in Theatre, Education or a related field and previous experience teaching theatre in a similar setting. They should also have practical theatre experience. Those applying for assistant positions should have previous practical theatre experience, administrative experience and experience working with youth. Bi-lingual applicants will be given special consideration.
